Meet the Band!
Mitchell
Mitchell is a singer/songwriter from Minneapolis, Minnesota with over 2 decades of professional experience performing in cover bands and original projects. People enjoy his passionate soulful voice which is strong yet vulnerable. Mitchell has an associates degree in music technology and is currently pursuing a second associates in commercial music performance. When not performing, Mitchell is an audio engineer for venues in North County San Diego and studio producer for many up and coming local musicians.
Alan
Alan is a sought-after professional guitarist, music educator, and award winning luthier. Born and raised in San Diego, Alan picked up music in elementary school and has since played played for countless acts including nationally recognized artist Elise Trouw. As a passionate full-time musician, Alan’s love for the art form is intimately reflected in his playing.
Taron
Taron is a Guitarist and Music Educator based in San Diego. He has been working as a session musician for bands and accompanist for artists for the past 10 years. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business, and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies, his main focus is building his private practice and working as a professional guitarist.
Tia
Tia Mae is a keyboardist, vocalist, and music therapist from New Jersey and has been playing professionally since 14 years old. At 18, she had the pleasure of playing in front of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as well as with a choir at Carnegie Hall. She has called San Diego home since 2021 and continues to pursue music therapy and music performance in this beautiful city. She is passionate about music’s ability to connect people and create lasting memories together.
Chris
Chris is a bassist, multi-instrumentalist, and music transcriptionist from San Diego, California. With a lifelong passion for music, he began performing at local and out-of-state venues at age 15 and boasts over a decade of professional experience in live performances and studio recording. While his primary instrument is electric bass guitar, he will switch over to the synthesizer bass when a more “digital” element is needed. With a strong ear and a relentless attention to detail, he always makes sure to lay down the groove and serve the song in the best possible way.
Garet
Garet is a percussionist from Columbus, Ohio with 14 years of professional experience. He’s competed and won first place in professional drum corps leagues, played drum kit with concert and symphonic bands, and has recorded drums for many individual artists, some of which have been award winning recordings. Garet holds an associates degree in Music Business. Since college, Garet has drummed professionally all over the country and has made San Diego his home base since 2017.
Emma
Emma is a professional singer originally from Orange County, CA and has been singing professionally in southern California for 7 years now. Emma is also a professional ballerina and moved to San Diego to pursue a career in ballet with the California Ballet Company in 2017 and has become increasingly focused on her music career as greater opportunities have been consistently offered to her. Emma has been studying music, the art of singing, and ballet from a young age and looks forward to finding new ways to incorporate both of her passions of music and ballet into one another.
Maggi
Maggi is a San Diego based Singer/Songwriter whose life has been surrounded by music. When Maggi is not working with Saffron Band her focus is on writing, recording, and performing original music. Maggi’s grandmother is a vocal coach who taught her to sing and perform at a young age. She’s since gone on to study Vocal Jazz at Mira Costa College. Maggi’s power, emotion, and charisma is captivating when she performs.
Dina
Dina is a professionally trained singer-songwriter with a musical taste and skill that ranges from a wide variety of genres from classical, jazz, R&B, to world music that specifically depict roots and rhythms from Madagascar, where Dina’s originally from. Her musical dedication and passion is inspired by, and geared towards those who have been through a number of trials and tribulations yet still find success. Dina Maeva creates selflessly, in hopes that her music inspires others to find their own strength, and rise above themselves, continuing towards their own greatness.
